NEWFORE Construction| WARNING!
As a passionate small business owner, writing this post isn’t something I take lightly. In fact, I struggled with the decision. But after nearly two years of being ignored by NEWFORE Construction, I believe it’s time to speak up — not out of spite, but out of responsibility to fellow subcontractors and small business owners who deserve to know the risks of working with this company.
The Job We Completed for NEWFORE Construction — and the Invoice That Was Never Paid
Back in 2022, our company was hired to complete work for NEWFORE, formally known as NEWFORE Construction. We delivered exactly what was agreed upon: professional, quality service, on time and with integrity. The issue? Invoice #26464, in the amount of $507.37, remains unpaid to this day.
Despite multiple follow-ups by phone and email, and speaking to various staff at NEWFORE Construction, we were met with vague promises that “someone would look into it” — and then total silence. For nearly two years, I’ve made calls weekly, only to be sent to voicemail or redirected with no resolution. I even had to bring in my paralegal to assist in collecting the payment, only to be ignored entirely.
This Isn’t Just About the Money — It’s About Accountability
Let me be clear: this isn’t about the $507.37. This is about the principle of doing business the right way. As the operations lead for our company, I take pride in ensuring every job is done with care, and every relationship is handled with respect. What we’ve experienced with NEWFORE Construction has been the exact opposite.
What’s most troubling is the complete lack of communication. No explanation. No justification. Not even the decency of a returned phone call. This raises serious questions about the credibility and professionalism of NEWFORE Construction as a whole.
A Message to NEWFORE Construction — and to Others Considering Working with Them
If someone from NEWFORE Construction happens to read this: I urge you to do the right thing. Acknowledge the debt. Honour the agreement. Pay the outstanding invoice. We’re still willing to resolve this professionally — but after two years, this blog post is the only way left to be heard.
To subcontractors, vendors, and even potential customers: be cautious when working with NEWFORE Construction. If you’re considering a project with them, get clear payment terms upfront and be prepared to protect your business interests. Our experience suggests a troubling pattern of avoiding payment and responsibility.
My NEWFORE Construction summary
This post wasn’t easy to write. I know the weight of a negative review — I know how hard small businesses work to build trust. That’s why we waited. That’s why we gave every opportunity to resolve this privately.
But sometimes, silence speaks volumes. And in this case, NEWFORE Construction’s silence is deafening.
I share this as a warning — and a hope that no other contractor is put in the same position. Because integrity isn’t just a nice word. It’s the foundation of good business.
