Giving Back Beyond the Ducts: Why Community Matters at Vacu-Man
At Vacu-Man Furnace and Duct Cleaning, we’ve always believed that running a family business means more than just keeping air clean—it means keeping community at the heart of everything we do.
As President of Vacu-Man, I’m incredibly proud of our 45-year legacy of serving Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville and beyond. But I’m equally honoured to be stepping into a new chapter of leadership—this time, in the community itself. I’ve recently been named President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Hamilton, a role I’ll take on fully in the coming year.
Rotary is all about Service Above Self, and honestly, that motto couldn’t align more with how we run things here at Vacu-Man. Whether it’s supporting local schools, cleaning ducts at community centres, or helping raise funds for kids’ programs, our team knows that being part of a community means showing up and giving back.
My recent visit to our cross-border counterparts at the Rotary Club of Buffalo reminded me how powerful service can be—no matter which side of the border you’re on. The connections we make through Rotary, business, and friendship truly transcend geography. And yes, they even survive our debates over who has the better beer (we all know the answer to that one 🍁).
As I look ahead to this leadership role within the Rotary Club of Hamilton, I’m excited to keep finding ways to align Vacu-Man with causes that matter. We’ll continue supporting events, charities, and initiatives that help our neighbours breathe easier—both literally and figuratively.

At the end of the day, clean air is our business—but building a stronger, healthier, more connected community? That’s our purpose.
